Showtime at the Davis Theater

Showtime at the Davis

Stories about trials, resilience, and hope

Like last year’s Virtual Night at the Theater, AHS is thrilled to bring six new stories to life in our upcoming event, Showtime at the Davis on Wednesday, May 11th. This year’s event will be held in person at the Davis Theater, followed by drinks and heavy appetizers, giving us a chance to be together again. There will also be a virtual option for those who would prefer to experience the show from the comfort of home.

This is a great opportunity to hear the stories of our clients and build empathy with the public to the issues facing our refugee population. Sharing individual experiences personalizes the challenges they face and is a powerful way to promote understanding and acceptance.

Right now, as we see an uptick in refugees needing our support, it’s more important than ever to bring to light these stories of trials, resilience, and hope. We have a lineup of 5 plays written by our Adult English Language Learners (ELL) and 1 very special play written by a student from Passages. All will be performed in partnership with Silk Road Rising.
